April Updates Part 2

Hi folks!

What a wonderful Spring Break!  I felt like I was wasting too much of my vacation with eating, (and cooking, and cleaning, etc.) so I’ve been having a “brunch” each day instead of breakfast AND lunch.  :)  Gives me more time for writing!  ;)So I’ll mention a few things that I’ve worked on since my first update.  While I’m not participating in the April NaNoWriMo, I am working on many “writerly” endeavours this month…

I tweaked the website a bit, adding a new “professional” picture,

and added an editing services section that I hope people will put to good use soon!  I also linked in to the two blog visits I’ve done recently, so you can hop from my blog to Katie Caroll’s and Kai Strand’s with a simple “click” (just scroll down a little further on this page!)!  I also updated my contact e-mail to kennett (dot) edit22 (at) gmail (dot) com.  I’m still available at the other one, but I like that “Kennett” and “Edit” kind of rhyme.   :)

I wrote just about two-thirds of a brand new story that I was inspired to write this month.  It’s got a bug as a main character.  What IS it with me and the bugs?  I normally don’t like bugs!  It is KIND of ironic.  :)

I have pitched two of my stories, we’ll call them “Crumbs” and “Meatloaf” for now, to over two dozen agents and publishers.  It is a long road, but it will be worth it if I can be an author as a career down the line!  I’m ambitious, determined, and optimistic.

I signed up for a conference in June where the “Meatloaf” will be critiqued- so I am excited for the workshops AND the feedback!

I read a few “writerly” blogs.  I dreamed.  I created.  I revised.    :)

Okay, that’s all for now.  Off to write some more.  Time to clean up some of my manuscripts, and a bit of my house!

What are you up to this Spring Break Week?  Let me know, leave a comment below!   :)  Enjoy your day!
