In addition to editing my own stories, I’d be thrilled to help you with yours! If you have a story idea that you wanted to discuss, or a manuscript you’d like me to proofread or critique, I would be more than happy to help you. I am also available to edit any other kind of work that you would like another pair of eyes on, from cover letters and resumes, to papers, to lesson plans, to novels! I am happy to help everyone that I can.
I have worked hard over the past 15 years to earn not only a college education, but two Masters Degrees as well! I graduated from Sacred Heart University (Fairfield, Connecticut) with a Bachelors of Science in English with a writing concentration. I went on to earn an MST in Elementary and Special Education from St. Thomas Aquinas College (Sparkill, New York). I decided to pursue an MLS, my Masters in Library Science, from St. John’s University (Queens, New York). I have put my degrees to work in the education field, as a teacher and school librarian, at a variety of grade levels!, throughout the past decade. I am no stranger to hard work, dedication, and perseverance!
I have a wealth of writing and editing experience. I was the editor-in-chief of my weekly college newspaper, The Spectrum, during the 2003-2004 academic year. I read each 16 page issue and went to our publishers in Milford each week to ensure that only the best, most accurate, and polished articles reached our audience. I was also the editor-in-chief of my high school’s newspaper, The Pirates’ Log.
In December of 2013, my first published book, a picture e-book, came out through MeeGenius.

Additionally, I have published articles in The Connecticut Post Newspaper, The Westport News Newspaper and in Rockland Parent Magazine.
I won two awards in high school for writing:
I won the Columbia Scholastic Gold Circle Award for my work on a special section of our newspaper called, Diversity At Our Doorstep. Some fellow writers and I interviewed students and staff from diverse backgrounds in our school and highlighted their interesting and wonderful stories in a special section of our school newspaper, The Pirates’ Log. If you’d like to see a list of all award recipients, click on the link below. (We won in category 29, Single Subject Presentation (Special Section).)
The other award I received was during my junior year of high school when I received Pace University’s Best Feature Article Award for a story I wrote about how we can all help to prevent teen suicide. The article also included information about the Yellow Ribbon Project. It was an honor to receive a signed book by Deborah Norville along with this award!
I look forward to working with you! Please drop me a line through my website here on the “Contact” Page, or send me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will work within your budget! 🙂
For editing experience you can trust, at a price you can afford!
Kerry Kennett edited a blog of mine and did a great job. She also caught an important typo that I had not seen. She edited the job in a quick and timely manner, and was lovely to work with.
